PB kicks for various reasons. Here are some examples of the most common and
their resolutions
NOTE:
Windows Vista has some unique kicks specifically that apply to only that
o/s.
We are compiling a list and have not yet updated this thread. If you are a
windows vista user, please also search the forum.
To Identify
your reason for being kicked, follow the steps below:

Step#1...
Go to C:\Program Files\America's
Army\System folder
Step#2... Open ArmyOps.log
Step#3... Hit keys CTRL+F
and a find window will open.
Step#4... Search for the word KICKED
or your players name.
That should give you the reason for being removed.
Note: If it stops on another
players kick message, press CTRL+F again and continue search. |

Some leased servers will kick you for cvars violation, if their
cvars check only allows players to play with default:

Note: Hit the
tilde key "~"at the deploy menu, that will take you to the
soldiers creed screen, that is where you enter the above command
and hit enter.
You will not see anything happen. Hit the ESC key to return to
the menu screen again.

Instructions:
Download and Run
Look2MeDestroyer
Close all windows before continuing.
Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close
and re-open in approximately 1 minute. Click OK
When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button,
your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing
infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your
computer, click OK.
Your computer will then shutdown.
Turn your computer back on.
Download and run this:
vx2finder msg126
Click the "Find VX2.betterinternet info" Button
If there are NO files listed in the bottom box, go on to the
last step. (Choose Restore Policy)
If the VX2finder finds the adware files, (it is usually 3 random
named dll files)
Select by checking box in front of file or files.
Press 'Delete These Files'.
The program will delete all files but one that will be deleted
on reboot. Allow pc to reboot, or manually reboot.
Run VX2finder again
Press 'Guardian.reg'.
If greyed out, skip
Press 'User Agent'.
If greyed out, skip
Press 'Restore Policy'.
Note:
In the top box. If you see the

This is Normal, not adware, nothing was found. Go straight to

Instructions:
Log in as an Administrator.
Go to START...RUN...type:secpol.msc

This will open up the Local Security setting window.
Expand the Local Policies folder and select User Rights
Assignment.
This will bring up a list of security settings for the computer.
You will need to add the user that will be launching the game to
have the following privileges.
-Debug Programs
-Load and unload device drivers
-Manage auditing and security log
-Modify Firmware environment values
-Profile Single Process
This is done by double clicking on the setting and then the "Add
User or Group" Button.
You can either type the user or group name into the field or
click on advanced to select from a list.
If you select advanced, you may need to click on the "Object
Types" Button and make sure all 3 boxes are checked.
Then click "OK". Click on the "Find Now" Button to generate a
full list of all users and groups on the system.
Highlight the user you want to add the rights to and click "OK".
Keep clicking "OK" untill you are back at the Local Security
Settings window.
Repeat this process for the rest of the list.
Go to Start...Run...Type:compmgmt.msc
Choose Local Users and Groups
Choose Groups
Open Administrators on the right column
Add your user name than you logon to windows with, and choose
check name.
Note: It should underline and add <pc name or
domain>\<your user name>
Choose Apply and OK
Close Computer Management
Note:If the user is logged in
while making changes, the user must be logged out and back in
for the changes to take effect, or Reboot PC.

The O/S Exception notice is from a conflict with PB and some
software or hardware on your system or out dated or none
existing SATA drivers.
Update SATA drivers for your motherboard.
Close ALL program on your system, including messengers and
anti-virus and then start the game.
If you do not get the message you can start turning programs
back on.
If you still do, check for driver and firmware updates for your
hardware, especially SATA drivers, as they seem to cause the
most issues.
Defragment your harddrive
Complete Step#1 (Run pbsetup.exe or manually update your client
and security files)
Reboot PC
If O\S Exception error persist:
Uninstall from Control Panel Add/Remove Programs
Go into Program Files Delete America's Army Folder

Evenbalance Resolution FAQ:
Please temporarily disable other security type programs you have
running such as anti-virus, process guard, SDProtector, etc. to
find out which of them is blocking PB's access to resources on
your computer. You either need to run PB without the blocking
program(s) or play on non-PB servers.
Special Note: Process Guard must be removed
completely:
Manual Uninstall:

1) Reboot your operating system into SAFE-MODE. To
do this Reboot your machine, and just after your
BIOS screen disappears keep pressing the F8 key. A
menu should appear, select "Safe Mode" and press
Enter.
2) Windows will ask you if you are sure you want to
be in SAFE-MODE, answer yes. Then login to the same
account you installed ProcessGuard from. If for some
reason you cannot log into the same account, skip
ahead to step 4 after logging in as the
Administrator.
3) Run ProcessGuard's uninstall utility. You can see
this from the Start Menu -> ProcessGuard ->
Uninstall.
4) To verify the removal, make sure procguard.sys
does not exist in your Windows\system32\drivers
directory, and that procguard.dll and pguard.dat are
not in your Windows\system32 directory. If they
still exist delete them.
5) Reboot your machine, ProcessGuard will now be
removed.
6)Go to Start...Run...Type:Notepad <hitenter>

Resolution fix for 98% of users:
From a very, very long research process with many users to thank
for testing various fixes. We have found that this kick more
often comes from a corrupt users profile database, either from a
trojan or from the install of zone alarm (most often), or other
3rd party firewall which conflicted with the installation and
configuration of service packs.

The only 100% working resolution for everyone is to reformat and
reinstall the O/S, updating all of service pack updates and

The information in this article applies to the following

Random hanging has been observed with certain games on certain
systems when using the PunkBuster server.
To resolve this issue, please follow these instructions:
Download and install drivers newer than CATALYST 4.11 Release

always recommend the latest releases of video drivers)
