AA Newsletter - M?rz 07

Attention all America's Army players,

Today, we are pleased to publish the first quarterly America's Army newsletter. Since the program's launch in July 2002, you have helped make America's Army one of the most popular computer games in the world. The AA community includes 8 million registered users, from 60 countries, who have logged over 3 billion player rounds. And to think, we're just getting started.

The success of the online game has led to the development of America's Army console and cell phone games, as well as military and government training applications. As we march into the future, look to America's Army Operations Update for sneak previews of the latest developments surrounding the game and the program. The staff and developers of America's Army thank you, our devoted players, community members and partners for your continued support. The best is yet to come.

Empower Yourself. Defend Freedom.
The America's Army Team

The Virtual Army Experience is Coming to You

How does the U.S. Army take America's Army: Special Forces (Overmatch) to the next level? By immersing you in the Virtual Army Experience (VAE), an authentic, life-size version of the game that delivers a high-tech, team-based, action-packed virtual test-drive of the Army. Drive the vehicles, fire the weapons, and live the experience of a U.S. Army Soldier in this 10,000–square-foot interactive touring exhibit. Assume the role of an elite Special Forces Soldier as you embark on a mission to capture a dangerous terrorist leader while employing the latest high-tech equipment of the U.S. Army. Find out when the VAE is coming your way at www.americasarmy.com

Coalition/Mission Depot Make Any Mission Possible

America's Army Special Forces (Coalition) features the AA Mission Editor. For the first time, you can create unique levels using the art, sound, particle effects and gameplay assets of the America's Army game. As you create new missions, share them with other players at the user-driven community site Mission Depot. Your level may be selected to become the game's next official mission and be distributed throughout the Honor network. For the full story, see http://forum.americasarmy.com/viewtopic.php?t=242108.

America's Army Goes Mobile

America's Army: Special Operations, the first official mobile game of the U.S. Army, is now available through all major cell phone carriers. Co-developed by the U.S. Army and Gameloft, America's Army: Special Operations allows you to join the ranks of the world's premier military land force, in a mission to repel an enemy attack. Assume the roles of U.S. Army personnel from Apache helicopter pilot to Infantry Soldier to Stryker commander. With advanced combat sequences and fully destructible desert, city and jungle environments, intense combat action is always at hand. Q: What are the Explore the Army (ETA) servers and how do they work?

A: ETA servers are demo servers where new players can preview America's Army without registering an account or completing standard training. They feature some of our most popular missions but do not allow you to accrue Honor points. To get the total action-packed America's Army experience, you can register an account and download a full version of the game. To begin exploring, visit http://www.americasarmy.com/intel/explore.php.
